Birchrose Associates is working with a highly regarded London law firm in the search for a Risk & Compliance Officer to join their Business Acceptance Unit on a permanent basis.

The Opportunity
The successful Risk & Compliance Officer will join the firm's Business Acceptance Unit, supporting the Head of Risk and wider team across all aspects of client onboarding, AML and regulatory compliance. Duties will include:
- Conducting conflict checks and assisting with conflict analysis
- Managing client and matter onboarding, including AML and client due diligence
- Reviewing client and matter risk assessments
- Reviewing engagement letters and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Carrying out due diligence research using platforms such as World-Check and Experian
- Advising fee earners on client due diligence and AML requirements
- Assisting with ongoing client monitoring and sanctions screening
- Supporting internal AML audits and wider compliance projects
- Assisting with conflicts, undertakings, complaints and breach management
The role is permanent, based by London Bridge, and after 6 months operates on a hybrid basis.
Requirements
- Previous experience within a law firm
- Proactive, collaborative approach with the ability to manage competing priorities
