The Opportunity
The Successful Legal Secretary will provide support to a Private Client Partner, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the department by providing first-class secretarial and administrative support. Duties include:
- Providing day-to-day secretarial support to a Partner
- Preparing correspondence and legal documents
- Audio and copy typing of letters, documents and attendance notes
- Preparing inheritance tax forms and supporting documentation
- Opening new files, carrying out conflict checks
- Managing diaries, arranging meetings and booking appointments
- Handling telephone calls and client enquiries
- Preparing bills, recording time and assisting with general file management
- Maintaining accurate electronic and paper files
- Monitoring inboxes, dealing with post and ensuring deadlines are met
- Providing general administrative support to the team as required
This Legal Secretary position is a full-time, permanent role, working Monday to Friday, 9:30am - 5:30pm
Requirements
- At least 4 years' previous Legal Assistant/Legal Secretary experience within a law firm (essential)
- Experience supporting within a Private Client team (essential)
