The Opportunity
The firm is looking to hire a Financial Crime Associate to join its developing Financial Crime practice.
This is a particularly exciting opportunity for someone looking for more than a traditional Associate role. The new Financial Crime Associate will work closely with a highly regarded Partner and will have the opportunity to play a meaningful role in the continued development and growth of the practice.
The work will be predominantly contentious and investigations-focused, spanning a broad range of financial crime and criminal matters.
The firm is open to candidates already specialising in financial crime, as well as those from a broader criminal defence background who have gained some exposure to financial crime matters.
This will include:
- Acting for individuals and corporate clients in criminal and financial crime investigations
- Advising clients at the early stages of investigations, including interviews under caution and police involvement
- Working on matters involving fraud, money laundering and wider financial crime allegations
- Advising on regulatory and enforcement investigations
- Supporting complex and sensitive contentious matters
- Working directly with senior lawyers and clients throughout investigations
- Contributing to the continued development of a growing specialist practice
Required
- Qualified Solicitor with 2 to 4 years' experience in criminal litigation, financial crime, or investigations
- Experience handling contentious criminal matters and investigations
- Exposure to financial crime, fraud or related work
- Strong client management and communication skills
- An entrepreneurial and commercially minded approach
- Genuine interest in helping to grow and develop a specialist practice
