Opportunity for a Banking & Finance Associate to join a growing Banking practice within a Top 100 law firm in London.

The Opportunity
The firm is now looking to hire a Banking & Finance Associate to join its growing London practice.
The Banking & Finance team currently sits within the wider Corporate department, with a longer-term strategy to continue growing the practice into a standalone Banking & Finance team.
The new hire will work closely with the Senior Associate leading the development of the practice and will have significant involvement in transactions from inception through to completion.
This is a dedicated Banking & Finance position, with the work focused on general transactional finance rather than the property aspects of real estate finance transactions. The practice advises both lender and borrower clients across corporate lending, acquisition finance, leveraged finance and wider banking transactions.
This will include:
- Advising lender and borrower clients on a broad range of Banking & Finance transactions
- Drafting and negotiating facility agreements and other core finance documentation
- Producing bespoke loan documentation and complex LMA-based finance documents
- Drafting and negotiating associated security documentation
- Advising on corporate lending, acquisition finance and leveraged finance transactions
- Taking responsibility for substantial elements of transactions from inception through to completion
- Managing conditions precedent, signing and completion processes
- Supporting the continued growth and business development of the Banking & Finance practice
Required
- Qualified solicitor with approximately 2 - 4 years' PQE in Banking & Finance
- Experience gained within a dedicated Banking & Finance practice
- Strong transactional banking experience rather than primarily property-side real estate finance experience
- Experience drafting and negotiating facility agreements and LMA-based documentation
- Ability to produce first drafts of bespoke finance documentation, rather than solely adapting existing precedents
- Genuine interest in joining and contributing to the growth of a developing Banking & Finance practice
