The opportunity
The firm is seeking an experienced Employment Counsel to join its London office as the sole employment law specialist supporting multiple Legal 500 ranked practice groups across the firm.
This is a unique opportunity for a senior employment lawyer looking for a high-quality role with greater flexibility. The position is structured as a professional track (non-partnership track) role with reduced hours working arrangements, making it well-suited to candidates seeking a more flexible working pattern.
The new hire will advise on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters, working closely with the corporate and litigation teams on a broad range of employment law issues arising from corporate transactions, workplace disputes, investigations and litigation.
The role will involve:
- Advising corporate clients on a full spectrum of contentious and non-contentious employment law matters
- Supporting corporate transactions with employment-related due diligence, risk assessment and advisory work
- Handling employment litigation and workplace disputes from initial instruction through to resolution
- Advising on employment aspects of restructurings, business transfers and organisational change
- Drafting and negotiating employment documentation, policies and settlement agreements
- Providing strategic employment law support to partners and clients across multiple practice areas
- Acting as the primary employment law resource within the London office
Required
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with a minimum of 7 years' PQE
- Strong experience advising employers on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters
- Strong transactional employment experience, including support on corporate transactions
- Experience working within a comparable, international law firm
