Opportunity for a Fixed Share Partner to join a highly regarded Commercial & Technology team as their Head of Department at a well-established London commercial law firm.

The opportunity
The firm is now seeking a Head of Commercial & Technology to lead and further grow its highly regarded Commercial & Tech practice.
The new hire will take over as head of the department, with the aim of supporting the continued growth of the practice while allowing greater focus on strategic business development and client relationships.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious partner seeking a leadership role with significant autonomy, high-quality work and a clear platform for further practice growth within a supportive and entrepreneurial environment.
The role will involve:
- Leading and developing the Commercial & Technology team
- Advising on a broad range of commercial contracts and corporate transactions
- Handling technology matters including licensing and development agreements, outsourcing and distribution arrangements
- Advising clients on franchising structures, international licensing and franchise arrangements
- Providing strategic intellectual property and content advice
- Advising on contentious IP matters including copyright and trade mark infringement issues
- Working with clients across sectors including media, music, sport, hospitality, leisure, retail, entertainment and technology
Required
- UK qualified Solicitor with strong experience in commercial, technology and/or intellectual property matters
- Experience gained at a respected City, West End or strong regional firm
- Some client following or market connections is essential
- Experience managing or supervising junior team members is required
