Business Development & Marketing Executive
Birchrose Associates is proud to be representing a highly regarded boutique UK law firm based in central London, which is seeking a Business Development & Marketing Executive to join its growing business services team on a permanent basis.
The Firm
Our client is a leading specialist law firm, recognised for its expertise across private client, family and contentious trusts work. The firm acts for a sophisticated domestic and international client base, including high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, and has an excellent reputation within the legal market.
The firm offers a collaborative and ambitious working environment, with the opportunity to work closely with Partners and teams across the business and play an important role in supporting the firm's continued growth.
The Opportunity
The successful candidate will work across both Business Development and Marketing & Communications, supporting the implementation of the firm's strategy and a range of new business, client development and communications initiatives. Working closely with the Marketing & Communications Director and Business Development Director, duties will include:
- Manage and deliver the firm's legal directory submissions programme, including submissions to Chambers & Partners, The Legal 500 and Spear's
- Liaise with Partners and fee earners to gather matter highlights, coordinate deadlines, manage referee processes and analyse rankings feedback to identify opportunities to enhance the firm's profile
- Support business development activity through the firm's CRM and client intelligence systems, helping to identify, track and develop new business opportunities
- Support and coordinate BD initiatives, including targeting, market research, curated events and meetings with clients and referrers
- Promote cross-practice business development opportunities across the firm
- Develop and maintain BD content and materials to support pitches and proposals
- Maintain business development resources and information on the firm's intranet
- Coordinate day-to-day activity and data integrity within the firm's CRM system
- Support the ongoing rollout, optimisation and future development of the firm's CRM technology
- Organise and support both in-person and virtual events
- Work collaboratively with Partners, fee earners and external providers to deliver high-quality marketing and BD initiatives
This Business Development & Marketing Executive position is a full-time, permanent opportunity, based in central London. The role is on site three days a week.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a marketing and/or business development role within a professional services environment (ideally around two years' experience)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail
- Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Experience supporting business development initiatives, market research and events
- Strong IT skills, with experience using CRM systems and an interest in emerging AI tools
- Creative and commercially minded, with the ability to research markets and generate new business development ideas
- Ability to work independently, follow instructions and take ownership of projects
