When Birchrose Associates was established in 2019, we set out with a clear vision: to build a trusted legal recruitment business, dedicated exclusively to law firms and the people who drive them forward.
In the years that followed, we focused on strengthening our UK presence, building three specialist teams to support permanent qualified hires, interim qualified hires, and business support needs. Today, we’re proud to be working with a significant proportion of the UK’s leading law firms.
In 2025, we took the next step in our growth journey, launching a U.S. division focused on placing Associates and Counsel with Am Law 200 firms.

Lauren Steff – Head of Birchrose Associates
Lauren is the Head of Birchrose Associates and overseas both our UK and US divisions. As well as growing and leading the team, Lauren also recruits Associates for leading firms in London. Lauren has worked in the recruitment industry for 15 years and has specialised in private practice legal recruitment since 2014. She has worked across multiple geographical regions and has a proven track record in building and running successful recruitment teams.
