Their Intellectual Property team is particularly well regarded and is ranked by Legal 500 for Trade Marks, Copyright and Design in London.

The firm is widely recognised for its expertise in "soft IP" and its work with some of the most creative, innovative and brand-driven clients in the UK and internationally.

The Opportunity

The firm's London-based IP team is now looking to hire a UK Chartered Trade Mark Attorney to join its growing practice.

This is an exciting chance to work across a genuinely varied and high-quality caseload spanning brand, content and technology-driven matters.

Clients operate across industries including film and TV, theatre, publishing, advertising, music, interactive entertainment, software and technology, sport and sponsorship.

The role offers exposure to both contentious and non-contentious IP work, including:

Non-contentious:

  • Trade mark clearance and prosecution
  • Management of global trade mark portfolios
  • Design registrations and maintenance
  • Brand strategy and advisory work

Contentious:

  • Trade mark and brand disputes
  • Opposition and cancellation proceedings before the UK and EU IPOs
  • Advertising and branding disputes

The team regularly advises on cutting-edge trade mark issues, including brand protection in the AI space and innovative uses of non-traditional marks. You'll work closely with IP litigators, paralegals, trainees and colleagues across the wider firm.

Benefits:

  • Lean teams with early responsibility and real client exposure
  • A genuinely collaborative, down-to-earth culture
  • Strong emphasis on work-life balance
  • Encouragement to get involved in business development from the outset
  • Exposure to headline-grabbing brands and creative industries

Requirements

  • UK Chartered Trade Mark Attorney (NQ - 1 PQE)
  • Trainee trade mark attorney due to qualify in 2026
  • Experience across trade mark prosecution, portfolio management and advisory work
  • Some exposure to contentious matters is beneficial
