The Organisation
Our client, a leading set of barristers' chambers, is seeking to appoint a Marketing & Business Development Executive to strengthen their marketing and client engagement activity.
The chambers is recognised for its supportive working culture and high standards, combining professional excellence with a collaborative, friendly environment.
The Opportunity
This newly created position will work closely with senior stakeholders to deliver a broad range of business development and marketing initiatives. The role offers real variety and visibility across chambers, giving you the opportunity to contribute directly to strategic growth and client engagement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Generating reports to target and monitor BD and CRM initiatives, working with practice heads, barristers, and clerks
- Acting as day-to-day contact for BD projects, including conferences, seminars, webinars, and email campaigns
- Assisting with the production and updating of marketing materials, liaising with external suppliers where necessary
- Managing website content and supporting LinkedIn presence with engaging updates
- Coordinating legal directory submissions and ensuring high-quality contributions
- Using the CRM system to support email campaigns and maintain accurate contact data
- Planning and managing events, from identifying invitees through to analysing client feedback
- Responding to ad hoc marketing requests and ensuring high standards across all communications
In addition, around 15% of the role involves supporting the Chambers Director with administrative and library-related duties.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive, organised individual to develop their career in a busy and professional environment. The role will be hybrid, with a minimum of 3 days per week in chambers after probation.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in a marketing role, ideally within legal or professional services
- Awareness of business development principles
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure
- Confident interpersonal style, with diplomacy and adaptability when dealing with a wide range of stakeholders
- Previous legal interest or experience is highly desirable
