Job Description

Birchrose Associates are pleased to be recruiting for Locum Private Client Solicitor to join a traditional law firm on a locum basis for 3 - 6 months on a remote or hybrid working basis.

The Opportunity

Our client, a long-established, traditional law firm is looking for an experienced Locum Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive to provide support while they recruit on a permanent basis.

The expected duration of this assignment is 3 - 6 months with potential to extend thereafter. Candidates seeking full-time or part-time (minimum 3 days per week) can be considered, with the option to work fully remotely or on a hybrid basis from their Essex office.

Responsibilities

This role will see the Locum handling a caseload including the following matters:

  • Wills - where a locum is working fully remotely, they will not undertake will instructions. These matters will instead be handled face-to-face with clients by other team members
  • Estate Administration
  • Probate
  • LPAs
  • Tax work
  • Trust matters

The locum will benefit from secretarial support within this role.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years' experience as a Locum Private Client Solicitor / Legal Executive
  • Experience handling busy and varied private client caseloads
  • Ability to work self-sufficiently and hit the ground running in a locum role
