Opportunity for a 3-5 PQE Associate to join a Tier 1 Publishing practice in London.

The firm acts for an entrepreneurial and high-profile client base, ranging from start-ups and founders to global corporations, household names and private individuals.
The Opportunity
The firm's top-tier Publishing Group is now looking to hire a 3-5 PQE Associate to join its market-leading team.
The group advises clients across the full spectrum of the publishing industry, including multinational and independent publishers, authors, literary agents, rights owners, digital platforms and industry bodies.
The rolw offers exposure to a broad range of high-quality publishing and IP work, including:
Non-contentious:
- Drafting and negotiating author, agency, option, licensing and distribution agreements
- Advising on trade and academic publishing across print, digital and audio formats
- Advising on copyright, chain of title and literary rights transactions
- Supporting on cross-media projects, including book-to-screen and interactive adaptations
Advisory and emerging issues:
- Copyright and related IP advice
- AI and publishing-related developments
- Commercial exploitation and rights structuring
You will work closely with partners and colleagues across Publishing, IP and Corporate teams, with genuine client exposure and opportunities to get involved in business development.

Requirements
- UK qualified Associate with 3 - 5 PQE
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills
- Solid grounding in copyright law
- Enthusiasm for the publishing industry
