The Firm
Our client, a leading international law firm with offices across Europe and beyond, is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join its European Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, starting ASAP. The Opportunity
This is a varied and hands-on role for a proactive Accounts Payable professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will support Accounts Payable operations across the London and wider European offices, ensuring accurate processing, VAT compliance, and timely payments. Working closely with colleagues at all levels, you will play a key role in maintaining smooth financial operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Processing invoices and expenses, ensuring correct coding, authorisation, and VAT treatment
- Managing supplier records and verifying bank details
- Running payment reports and preparing payment batches
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving payment queries
- Acting as a key point of contact for vendor and internal AP queries
- Supporting VAT reclaims, audits, and compliance reporting
- Delivering a high level of customer service and supporting team initiatives
This is a full-time, fixed-term role with 4 days in the office.
Requirements
- Strong Accounts Payable experience
- Experience with Chrome River and 3E (highly desirable)
- Excellent attention to detail and numeracy skills
- Confident handling confidential financial information
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
- A collaborative and service-focused approach
