Job Description

The Firm

This West End practice is recognised for its deep expertise in private wealth and real estate, while also offering specialist advice in corporate, commercial, and contentious work.
This role sits in the Human Resources Advisory team and reports to the Senior HR Business Partner. The working hours are 9.30am - 5.30pm, though flexibility will be required.

The Opportunity

This role has full responsibility for HR administration across all aspects of the employee lifecycle processes, with the opportunity to support the HR team on firm-wide HR projects and initiatives. The post holder will directly support the Advisory team on the full breadth of HR activities to enable the best employee experience.

  • Act as the first point of contact for system queries and solve basic HRIS issues
  • Generate regular and ad-hoc HR reports as required (e.g., monthly sickness reports)
  • Act as the point of contact for employee HR queries, escalating complex issues as appropriate
  • Assist in reviewing and updating HR policies and templates
  • Support the HR team in delivering projects, events, and initiatives
  • Assist with scheduling interviews and coordinating communication between candidates and hiring managers
  • Prepare offer letters and employment contracts, ensuring they are signed and returned (via Docusign)
  • Ensure pre-employment checks and right-to-work documentation are completed in a timely manner
  • Liaise with agencies and assist with Graduate Recruitment as required
  • Coordinate the onboarding and offboarding process, including contract generation, induction scheduling, right to work checks, and setting up exit interviews
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure HRIS data integrity
  • Liaise with hiring managers on smooth transitions for internal role changes and relocations. Prepare variation to contract paperwork.
  • Track probation periods, proactively remind managers of review deadlines, and coordinate the collection and filing of review forms.
  • Shared responsibility for fee earner entries and changes within the payroll process, including uploading new joiner details to ADP
  • Support with day-to-day administration of employee benefits
  • Advise Broadstone of monthly membership changes (joiners, leavers, address changes, etc.) to medical and dental schemes

Requirements

  • Previous experience in an HR administrative or coordinator role, preferably within the legal or professional services sector
  • Previous experience and understanding of HR processes, including the employee lifecycle
  • Advanced knowledge of Document Management system(s), Docusign, and HR Information Systems (HRIS)
  • Knowledge of Cascade is desirable
