A leading London practice renowned for its strength in private wealth and real estate, it also advises across corporate, commercial, and dispute resolution matters. Known for a highly personal approach, it blends technical expertise with a focus on long-term client relationships.
This senior position is for a Revenue Manager within the Finance Department and reports to the Financial Controller. The role offers hybrid working (2-3 days in the office).
The Opportunity
The Revenue Manager is responsible for the overall financial health of the revenue cycle, encompassing team management, credit control, and billing operations:
- Manage and develop direct reports to ensure all team objectives, billing deadlines, and collection targets are achieved
- Help manage and reduce the firm's lock-up to agreed levels
- Ensure the firm achieves its cash targets by managing and supporting Revenue Controllers
- Build relationships with key stakeholders across the business
- Attend meetings with partners, internal management, clients, and external debt collection resources
- Act as the point of escalation for all Credit Control and billing issues and ensure timely upward escalation when required
- Ensure all billing deadlines are met by managing and supporting the Billing Supervisor and legal billers
- Ensure invoices are addressed and processed correctly, including compliance with HMRC and SRA rules
- Monitor and manage credit levels
- Follow up with clients, partners, and fee earners on outstanding invoices
- Oversee the finance and billing mailbox to ensure all requests are completed within agreed timescales
- Maintain the list of e-billing clients and ensure timely submission of invoices through the relevant e-billing portals
- Continually appraise existing systems and processes and lead on any change initiatives
- Ensure compliance with all internal controls, policies, and HMRC/SRA rules
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' of relevant revenue management experience in the legal sector
- Experience of using Elite 3E and some system change management experience is desirable
