The Opportunity
The successfull Business Development Assistant is a motivated and organised individual looking to build their career in business development. Working closely with the BD Managers and the wider team, you'll play a key role in supporting initiatives across the firm's commercial and private disputes practices.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing administrative support to BD Managers, including diary management and coordination of meetings and travel
- Maintaining firmwide trackers and databases for pitches, referrals and credentials
- Assisting with market research and business analysis to identify opportunities
- Supporting the preparation of legal directory submissions and BD budget reports
- Coordinating with internal teams and external suppliers on ad-hoc BD projects
- Assisting with client events, hospitality and the production of marketing materials
- Using the firm's CRM to capture client relationship information
- Taking minutes and tracking actions at BD meetings
You'll gain exposure across the firm's business development function, with the chance to contribute to pitches, events, and strategic initiatives while developing your skills in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Strong organisational and administrative skills, with excellent attention to detail
- Experience in a similar role within professional services (preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and proactive approach
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a busy environment
